Angie Gray
for Millcreek
Hello, neighbor!
My name is Angie Gray and I am running for Millcreek City Council, District 2. I’ve lived the majority of my life in Millcreek and nearly 15 years in District 2. I currently volunteer on 3 city committees. I’m a mom, wife, and nurse. Nobody loves Millcreek more than I do! I am committed to our strong schools, well-rounded growth, and retaining the city’s culture and character that we all love so much.
Priorities
-
Schools are the lifeblood of our community, impacting everyone.
I'll fight to strengthen our schools—the heart of our community—using my deep firsthand experience as a parent, volunteer, and advocate.
With looming closures, district split debates, and financial questions, we need a representative who knows schools inside and out. My family has attended ten Millcreek schools, I've served on PTA boards and community councils, and I've lived through a school closure. I have the experience to navigate these complex issues and ensure our schools remain strong.
-
I support balanced, family-friendly growth that preserves our neighborhoods while ensuring responsible solutions for vulnerable residents.
I love our idyllic neighborhoods and believe we must find a balance with necessary high-density housing. We need a plan that preserves our culture and protects vulnerable residents from sudden displacement, like when low-income apartments were converted to market rate. Having lived in District 2 for 15 years, I will bring a long-term perspective and passionate advocacy for smart, compassionate development.
-
I will maintain our critical infrastructure with a dedicated focus on emergency preparedness to keep our community safe and resilient.
Beyond maintaining and enhancing our everyday infrastructure, I will prioritize emergency preparedness. This includes physical improvements like storm drains, as well as strengthening communication systems and neighborhood readiness. My training with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) provides the background we need to ensure Millcreek is prepared for any situation.
-
I am committed to continued fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets, and maintaining a healthy rainy-day fund for our city.
I applaud our current city council for its excellent stewardship of taxpayer dollars, maintaining a balanced budget and a necessary rainy-day reserve. I am committed to upholding that same high standard of fiscal responsibility and transparency to ensure Millcreek’s financial health and stability. description

“We are pleased that Angie has given voters a choice in the district 2 council race.
How do we decide who to support? We consider a number of important factors.
A. Is our council representative invested in our community?
B. Do we know our representative?
C. What is their history and background?
D. What is their vision for our city?
Considering these factors, we lend Angie our support knowing she is a long time resident in Millcreek and has devoted countless hours volunteering to improve our community while raising her family.
We know Angie!
We admire her for reaching out to listen to her neighbors and then doing the hard work to make a difference. She will be a wonderful collaborative partner serving with the others while representing us on our Millcreek City Council.”
